Want to learn how to save a life?

Online CPR Certification

Getting your CPR certification online is easy with AEDCPR. In a class that is designed to be accessible to anyone of any medical background, including those who are complete novices about first aid, the Online CPR/AED/First Aid Training course sets the standard for quality.

This is the same course that is used to teach medical professionals, including rescuers, healthcare providers, emergency response teams, doctors, safety personnel, police, ambulance, athletic trainers, airline employees, life guards and more. But don’t feel like you need to be in that group of professionals to have your CPR training completed online. The class is just as important for parents, babysitters, retail employees, and anyone else who is in a position where they might need to save a life.

Remember: you never know when an emergency is going to happen, so you should prepare yourself now so that you won’t regret it later. This online course in CPR is straightforward and takes little time, and you’ll be learning skills that could change a life forever. You could literally bring someone back from the brink of death if you’re properly trained. It can’t be overstated how important this is.

How Long Does CPR Certification Take?

So how long does CPR training take? Not nearly as long as you’d think. Our class, which is all online, will take you between two to three hours. This class is not merely CPR, however.

This class, Online CPR/AED/First Aid Certifcation, will teach you CPR, AED (Automatic External Defibrilator), and First Aid Basics. First aid basics will instruct you how to deal with choking, trauma, bleeding, poisoning, environmental dangers, and more medical emergencies.

The classes have even been updated to include questions about dealing with COVID-19, including airborne pathogen safety and proper sanitation.

Upon completion of the CPR/AED/First Aid course you will receive your CPR/AED/First Aid certification card from the American AED/CPR Association indicating that you have passed the cognitive and skills assessment of the class.

Even better, you don’t need to wait for your certification card to come in the mail. When the course is completed, certification is valid and you can print out your Heartsaver certification card on your home printer. So in answer to the question of how long does it take to get CPR certified, the answer is you start from scratch, do your online training, and have your card in hand in three hours.

How Long Does CPR Certification Last?

CPR/AED/First Aid certification is valid for two years from the date that you take the online course. You will have access to everything in that online course, at any time you’d like, for the full two years in case you wish to brush up your skills.

At the end of the two years, you will need to take CPR certification courses to renew your certification. The renewal course for CPR/AED/First Aid is available to anyone who has taken the original CPR course in the past two and a half years. This means that even though you may have let your CPR certification lapse at the end of the two years, if you take the renewal course within six months you only need the renewal course and don’t need the full, original course again.

Also, if you have a certification from the American Red Cross, you can take the renewal course, following the same guidelines: as long as it’s within 6 months of expiration you can renew.

Do I Need To Learn CPR On a Mannequin?

No. While you will be learning about performing CPR, this is an all-online course so you won’t be doing chest compressions on a dummy. You will definitely learn the hands-on skills that you need to save a life, but you can do it all from your computer.
